How can I add a layer of security to my online identity?
Coming up this week is the last of the Cyberviolence workshops we have been hosting since September. This is a reminder that you can still sign up for the workshop which starts at 15:00 on Wednesday, November 18, at the g-Hive HQ at Rue Carolystraat 29, 1050 Brussels (register here: http://bit.ly/15ghive08). We will have an expert from Child Focus’ Clicksafe initiative lead some group activities to help us build awareness on how we interact with each other in online communities.
The evening workshop for women starts at 19:00 on the same day. In addition to having an expert from European Schoolnet talk about the inSafe network (a program to empower children and young people to use the internet and other mobile technologies positively, safely and effectively), we will also have a highly experienced cybersecurity expert talk about how we can make our online identity more secure, and protect ourselves from hackers and identity thieves. This is a great opportunity to find out how to add a layer of security to our email correspondences, and mobile transactions (register here: http://bit.ly/15inqube14). Bring a pen and paper, and expect to take lots of notes!
Hoping to see you all on Wednesday,
