Move It Forward: Online Safety for Girls
Hi! It’s back-to-school, busy Bees! Hope you all had a wonderful summer relaxing in the sun! We have certainly been busy, preparing a new series of workshops for you!
This time it is all about online safety and navigating the digital world for all tech-savvy girls, and their Moms! The Ministry of Equal Opportunity of the Brussels Region has given us this project we call Move It Forward: a series of workshops, and a 2-day digital starter event in November for girls and women who want to know more about safe internet use, and who might even want to start a project in their own community or school to help build awareness on problems like cyberbullying.
We are getting a lot of experts on board to talk to us, give us tips, and tell us how to use cool things on the internet, without compromising our safety and privacy.
For more information and to register:
You can also join us on November 28 – 29, for a 2-day starter event. We will learn how to build a website and an Android app, useful skills which we will use to start projects in our communities or schools to teach girls and women how to use the internet safely.
Participation is by selection, so you will have to nominate yourself as a participant. Nomination process starts September 10.

If you know of any woman (maybe your Mom, your Aunt or your teacher) who might also be curious to learn more about Safety Online, here are the workshops tailored to grown-ups:
The number of places are limited, so hurry and sign up! We aim to bring together a diverse group of girls and women participating, from different schools, communes, age groups and cultural background.
